A warning to the public from health in Windsor-Essex.
The region’s medical officer of health, Dr Wajid Amhed says a symptomatic person was at a pair of Kingsville restaurants and a Harrow winery last Friday, August 21st.
The person in question attended Wineology, El Diablo, and Muscedere Vineyards, but didn’t test positive for COVID-19 until later.
Health officials remind everyone about the importance of staying home if you’re not feeling well.
Dr Ahmed says the risk of transmission is likely low, but anyone who was at any of the locations is asked to monitor for symptoms and go to an assessment centre if symptoms develop.
Meantime, there’s been another increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Ontario.
Health Minister Christine Elliot says there are 122 new confirmed cases today.
Provincially, 29 of Ontario’s 34 public health units are reporting five or fewer cases, with 17 reporting no new cases at all.
