The Chatham-Kent Prosperity Roundtable wants to make sure poverty is a federal election issue.
Roundtable project coordinator Kate Do Forno says the group is taking part in a national campaign.
“The vote to end poverty campaign is a national advocacy non partisan campaign to encourage voters to think about the issue, question candidates and get involved and really think about poverty and how it affects your community, ” says Do Forno. “And encourage your candidates to really be a part of that conversation.
Between now and election day the roundtable will be using social media and the hashtag #votetoendpoverty.
