A distribution system issue plunged thousands of Chatham residents into the dark Monday evening.
Shortly after 6:30, power went out for more than 3000 Entegrus customers on the north side of Chatham.
At its peak, just over 3700 homes and businesses were affected.
Entegrus officials say the outage was caused by a failed electrical connection on the distribution system. Crews made the necessary repairs, and all power was restored just after 8 o’clock.
