The Wallaceburg site of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance could have its new power plant up and running by next summer.

The site plan control application is being presented to Council on Monday, and if approved, construction on the site’s power plant would start before the end of this year.

This project will allow Wallaceburg’s hospital to operate more efficiently and support future phases of the CKHA’s Master Plan.

The Health Alliance secured $7.3 million dollars in funding earlier this year thanks to the Ministry of Health.
