TerraForm Power released a statement this week, saying that after a full review by independent, third-party professionals and the company’s own engineering team, 22 of the 52 turbines south of Chatham have been returned to service so far.
There has still been no official cause listed for why one turbine essentially buckled in half on January 19th, but company spokesman Chad Reed says they are making progress in the full site inspection, and expect it to be complete in the next few weeks.
Reed says the company has not experienced any similar issues at any of its other wind projects in North America.
