A local anti-lockdown protestor failed to make a court appearance yesterday because she’s dealing with Covid-19.

Liz Valee who ran unsuccessfully for the People’s Party of Canada was charged under the Reopening Ontario Act in connection with a large rally earlier this year, made the announcement on social media.

Valee said her 2 children have also been diagnosed.

She maintains she did not put the public, or campaign supporters at risk while campaigning.

Her next court appearance is set for November 17th.
