A local charity is making sure Chatham-Kent students can look and feel their best on prom night and graduation day, regardless of their financial circumstances.

FREEhelpck is holding its fifth annual Prom Graduation Giveaway with over 500 dresses, suits, shoes, and jewelry ready to be given away to those who may not be able to afford them.

“It’s incredible to witness the impact this initiative has had over the years. Being able to help students celebrate and cherish these important milestones without worrying about the financial burden is truly rewarding,” FREEhelpck said in a news release.

On March 15, organizers will open the doors to the Downtown Chatham Center, welcoming all students who wish to find the perfect attire for their special day. A variety of sizes, colours and sizes will be available.

FREEhelpck said it is also planning another event in May to provide makeup and photo sessions.

Those with any attire, jewelry, or shoes to donate are asked to contact the charity. Volunteers for the giveaway event are also needed.
