A local man is facing charges following a residential break-and-enter in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a disturbance on Lorne Avenue at around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
When police arrived, they discovered that someone had entered the home and caused property damage.
A suspect was located and arrested without incident a short distance away.
A 38-year-old Chatham man is now charged with break-and-enter to commit an indictable offence, and mischief under $5,000. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
