A housing project in Chatham has been put on the back burner for now.
At its planning meeting last night, Chatham-Kent council discussed a zoning application for a development on McNaughton Avenue West between Sandys Street and St Clair to allow for development of a single-storey multi-unit building.
Hensar Corporation’s application would allow for up to 14 residential units with on-site parking.
Councillors agreed to postpone the project until further consultation with neighbours could be done.
No date for the issue to return to council has been set at this point.
