A settlement has been reached when it comes to diverting water from the Great Lakes.

The Great Lakes and St Lawrence Cities Initiative, which represents over 130 municipalities in Canada and the U-S, including Chatham-Kent, announced this week it has reached an agreement on reviewing the water division application process to better safeguard fresh water resources.
