A Chatham man is in trouble with police once again after allegedly lying to officers.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a disturbance at a Harvey Street residence in Chatham at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Authorities arrived and spoke to a man at the scene. It was then learned that the man had provided a false name to the officers, and he was wanted on an outstanding warrant. However, the man hadΒ fled the residence.
A suspect was located and arrested a short time later. The 22-year-old Chatham man is now charged with obstructing police and failing to comply with a release order.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
