ontarioThe government is expanding a program for reporting suspected or witnessed abuse of adults with developmental disabilities.

A 24-7 phone line and email service is being added to the ReportON program, run by the Ministry of Community and Social Services.

The program was developed in response to a coroner’s inquest into the death of a Hamilton-area man who died while receiving care through a provincially-funded service agency – one of the findings of the 2015 inquest was that agency staff don’t always know where to turn to address concerns about abuse.
