HAMBURGERWhether you are looking to watch your weight, or not, the province wants to make it mandatory for chain restaurants to post the number of calories per meal on their menus.

The new law would affect fast food chains, restaurants, grocery stores, and even convenience stores.

The proposed calorie count law is the first of its kind, with the hope of combating childhood obesity. The count would allow consumers to make healthier choices, which experts say are often surprising.

The law still has to be passed by Ontario legislature.
