The province is providing funding for dozens of cultural events across the province this summer.
The Victoria Playhouse in Petrolia is one of 45 recipients of the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund.
$50,000 has been set aside to support the theatre’s 2017 schedule with shows like “Fiddler on the Moose,” “The Birds and the Bees,” and “Folks Like Us.”
In all, over $2.8 million is being doled out to helps strengthen cultural tourism, which the province says boosts local economies, creates jobs and draws visitors to communities across Ontario.
