Premier Doug Ford and the provincial government will release their framework for re-opening Ontario’s economy “early this week”.
Ford made the statement during Friday’s briefing, reminding residents once again that any re-opening will be a slow, gradual and measured approach, putting the health and safety of Ontarians first.
Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams has previously suggested the economy can not begin to re-open until the province cuts the daily number of new COVID-19 cases to 200 or less.
The province also says they will begin scheduling elective surgeries again as soon as they are able.
