A number of seniors groups in the region are getting a helping hand from the province.
The Delaware Nation Council, Dresden Lawn Bowling Club, and Wallaceburg Senior Citizens Club are receiving grants totaling $44,700.

Funding for the 2021-22 Seniors Community Grant Program aims to help non-profit organizations develop programs for seniors that focus on combatting social isolation and improving overall health and wellbeing.
“No matter your age, a strong network of family and friends has never been more important,” said Monte McNaughton, MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex. “That is why our government continues to invest in the organizations that bring friends together and build stronger communities.”
Successful applicants of the Seniors Community Grants are receiving between $1,000 and $25,000 to provide programs, events, learning, and social opportunities for older residents.
