Support services in the riding of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex are receiving financial support from the Ontario government.
The province has announced $406,000 for infrastructure upgrades at five community agencies in the region, supported through the Partner Facility Renewal Program.
Of that funding, $29,000 has been allocated to Community Living Wallaceburg to support critical facility repairs, including a kitchen renovation and a new rooftop heating and cooling system.
“The community agencies play an important role in supporting individuals and families across Lambton–Kent–Middlesex, and we want to make sure they have the facilities they need to continue doing that important work,” said Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Steve Pinsonneault in a news release. “This $406,000 investment will ensure they can continue providing high-quality programs and services to the people who rely on them.”
Funding through the Partner Facility Renewal program supports a range of organizations, including shelters for women and children who have experienced or may be at risk of violence, residences that offer day-to-day support for individuals with developmental disabilities, facilities serving survivors of human trafficking, and organizations dedicated to supporting Indigenous communities.
