Provincial funding is also coming to support local fire fighters.
The government has earmarked $29,600 for the Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services to address the impacts of COVID-19.
Officials say the one-time funding will enhance fire safety training and support safety inspection programs.
That includes updates to high speed internet to enhance virtual training and enable remote options to support fire safety and compliance while minimizing exposure to the virus.
