Provincial Ombudsman Visits Local CCAC

The creation of a Patient and Family Centred Care model at the Erie St Clair Community Care Access Centre has caught the attention of the province’s patient ombudsman.

Christine Elliot recently paid a visit to the local health organization to see their work first-hand.

Senior Director Kelly Robertson says it was a tremendous opportunity.

“She was really inspired about how our patient advisers have really helped us build the patient-family centered care framework into the fabric of the care we deliver,” Robertson says. “Certainly we could see that the meaningful relationship that we have developed with our patients, where they’re providing us with feedback on the programs and services that the CCAC delivers, this results in the high quality and safe care that we provide in the home and the community.”

The Erie St. Clair CCAC has the highest satisfaction rating of any of the Community Care groups in the province.
