CK Public Health is offering additional information in regards to the inspection process and response to the outbreak at Greenhill Produce in Kent Bridge.
Public Health officials say the site has continuous oversight of the outbreak by C-K’s Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Colby.
Public Health inspectors have inspected and approved all bunkhouses as per their routine process.
CKPH staff are also working with a translation service to provide support to the workers twice daily. Public Health says these conversations can take anywhere from one to three hours pending on the amount of support needed from each worker.
CK Public Health continues to ensure residents best practices are being utilized in dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak at Greenhill Produce.
C-K’s CAO Don Shropshire adds that the owners of Greenhill Produce are doing what they can to help their affected workers.
“The owners have been stepping up. They’re still paying the workers that remain in isolation. They’ve also been providing for their food and medication and so on that they require.”
After three new cases were reported on Saturday, there are a total of 51 positive cases at Greenhill.
