The Chatham-Kent PUC is planning some big upgrades to the water and waste water systems across the municipality.
Over the next five years, the utility commission is planning on about $50-million in capital projects, including a new Ridgetown water tower and upgrades to the Wallaceburg plant.
Looking out long term, Wallaceburg’s waste water plant will get 6.5 million in upgrades in the next 5-10 years. Over the next 20 years, the PUC plans on investing more than $210-million in capital projects.
The projects are laid out in a revision of the 2018 business plan, which the board is expected to approve at its next meeting.
