Chatham-Kent residents should expect to see changes to water and wastewater rates in the new year.
The Chatham-Kent Public Utilities Commission (PUC) intends submit a revision to the Water and Wastewater Rates By-law to amend certain fees at its next regular public meeting on January 16.
Under municipal by-laws, the PUC is required to publish notice of the changes at least 14 days ahead of the meeting. Anyone attending the meeting will be provided the opportunity to speak on the matter.
The PUC has not released specifics on the rate changes and how it will impact Chatham-Kent taxpayers.
