PUC Updating its Water and Wastewater Master Plan

Local officials are looking for the public’s thoughts as the Public Utilities Commission updates its Water & Wastewater Master Plan.

A study has been launched to help guide safe, reliable water and wastewater services across the municipality. Officials will be reviewing previous capital plans and identify upgrades needed to provide sustainable municipal water and wastewater services into the future.

The Chatham-Kent PUC serves roughly 39,000 water and 31,000 wastewater customers.

Three public information meetings will be held as part of the master plan review, starting this spring.

The study is scheduled to be complete by March, 2027.
