In a case of better late than never, Joe Roberts is walking highway 40 towards Wallaceburg today, grocery cart in tow.
Roberts had planned on making this portion of his walk across Canada yesterday. He’s trying to raise awareness for youth homelessness and says he’s headed to Sarnia tomorrow.
“I’m at 18km, and I’ll do 24 before the day is done,” reveals Roberts. “When we’re done today we’re hovering around 4,100 of the 9,000km walk, so we still have a long way to go.”
Roberts’ is looking to raise about $18-million through his The Push for Change organization.
