One man is dead, and another has been injured following a two-vehicle crash in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said emergency crews responded to the collision on Queen’s Line between Bloomfield Road and Dillon Road just after midnight on Sunday.
The drivers of the vehicles, a 46-year-old Tilbury man and a 57-year-old Chatham man, suffered injuries in the crash and were rushed to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the Chatham man was then airlifted to the London Health Sciences Centre, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The severity of the other driver’s injuries and his current condition have not been released.
Queen’s Line was closed for several hours following the collision as the CK Police Traffic Management Unit conducted a crash reconstruction.
