April showers have descended upon Chatham-Kent for the next few days.
The St Clair Region Conservation Authority has issued a water safety statement with as much as 50mm of rain possible in some areas before Saturday.
Officials say the Texas low-pressure system is not expected to cause significant flooding, but saturated soil could contribute to ponding, increased runoff, and possible increased erosion and seepage issues.
Residents are reminded to avoid waterways and flooded areas.
