Random Acts Of Kindness Appreciation

ALL THIS WEEK, 99.1 AND THE REAL CANADIAN SUPERSTORE IN CHATHAM ARE TEAMING UP TO BUY YOUR GROCERIES! IT’S ALL A PART OF OUR RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS. EVERY DAY – ONE LUCKY SHOPPER WILL HAVE THEIR GROCERIES PURCHASED BY 99.1 AND THE REAL CANADIAN SUPERSTORE!

Today, we received this awesome e-mail from our Day #2 winner, Vickie Couture and her daughter Ashlyn. It’s a great reminder that we can ALL be a part of these random acts of kindness and help “fill someone’s bucket”.

Hi Jay!

I really wanted to extend my gratitude and thankfulness to you for paying for my family’s groceries this evening at Superstore.

Giving has been a very large part of our holiday season this year as my 5 year old daughter is talking about it daily in school and participating in a lot of “fill others’ buckets” activities. She bought her and her little brother a treat with the money she worked for today (for the first time ever)! We are so proud of her!

We continue to practice these “fill someone’s bucket” lessons at home so that we can show the kids how amazing it actually makes YOU feel to give kindness to others and make their day – it’s a win-win!

This gift you have given us really speaks to these lessons and has brought it full circle for my daughter. Ashlyn was saying on the way home from the store today “You see mommy!? We fill other people’s buckets with kindness (our donations this past week) and then someone fills our bucket! It’s feels pretty good!”

I found it quite difficult for a few moments there to hold back some tears. We haven’t ever had something like this happen to us before and we are just truly so grateful! I was in shock for a while and I’m not sure if I said a proper THANK YOU! So, thank you very much to you and your team! I pray you all have a wonderful, love and laughter filled holiday season.

Merry Christmas to you all and Happy coming New Year! Cheers to you!

Sincerely,

Vickie and Ashlyn Couture
(My hubby, Erik, and son, Spencer, too)
