Local realtors are supporting affordable housing in Chatham-Kent through a recent fundraising event.
The Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors hosted its fourth annual Realtors Rock event on April 7 at The Fortress Tavern X, featuring live performances from bands and a lineup of real estate performers.
Through door donations, a silent auction, a 50/50 draw, and community generosity, the event raised $1,100 in support of Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent.
“Realtors Rock continues to be a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together as a community. Seeing our members and the public unite in support of Habitat for Humanity is incredibly inspiring,” said association president Carrie Patrick in a news release.
The funds raised will go directly toward furnishing a new home and providing a fridge and stove for a local family.
