The Wallaceburg Red Devils hung on for a game 5 series deciding victory at Memorial Arena on Monday afternoon.
The Red Devils downed the Hamilton Bengals 8-5 to wrap up their opening round Western Jr. B lacross playoff series. The home team won each game in this series.
MacCoy Abrams was the hero for the Red Devils with a hat trick. Marshall Powless had a goal and 2 assists to help with the offence. Corey Lucier chipped in with a goal and a helper.
Wallaceburg out shot the Bengals 57-47 in front of 436 fans at a steamy Memorial Arena.
In the other game 5 the Windsor Clippers got by the Orangeville Northman 10-9 in overtime.
Wallaceburg will face the Clippers in round 2 and Windsor won all their regular season contests.
