The Chatham-Kent Police Service is trying to make it easier for local residents to report crime in the community.
Authorities say their newly redesigned website provides improved accessibility, streamlined navigation, and enhanced public engagement.
Some of the key features of the new site include simplified access to online reporting tools and up-to-date crime prevention and public safety resources.
The online reporting portal includes the ability to file new reports, update existing reports with new information, and a guided option for those who aren’t sure what type of report to file.
“We are committed to open communication and accessibility for all,” said Chief Kirk Earley in a news release. “This new website strengthens our connection with the people we serve. We invite the community to explore the new site and stay connected as we continue to evolve to serve you better.”
Other features of the new site include clear navigation for services and community programs, and information on road safety, body worn cameras, and fraud prevention.
