Another sign of Chatham-Kent’s improving COVID situation.
Citing a decrease in demand, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is reducing operating hours at the assessment centre on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.
The clinic will run 9am to 5pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, starting June 27th, and will be closed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, as well as all statutory holidays.
The testing centre will sill offer care for those with mild to moderate COVID-19, cold, and flu-like symptoms who need a clinical assessment.
Mild to moderate COVID-19, cold and flu-like symptoms include:
One of:
- Fever and/or chills
- Cough or barking cough (croup)
- Decrease or loss of taste or smell
And/or two of:
- Muscle aches
- Extreme tiredness
- Sore throat
- Runny or stuffy/congested nose
- Headache
- Nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea
An appointment for a clinical assessment should be made if you know or suspect that you have COVID-19 and you:
- have been directed by your family doctor or nurse practitioner; or
- are unable to safely monitor your symptoms at home; or
- are concerned your symptoms may be worsening.
Appointments can be booked online at www.assessmentbooking.ca or by calling 519-436-2556.
