Plans continue to come together for this year’s Hike for Hospice.

Event chair Randi Bokor says the annual event is back this year after having to go virtual in 2020 because of the pandemic.

“We had to come up with kind of a hybrid solution this year, the idea is that walkers, bikers, runners, can co out on their own time between April 26 and May 2,” Bokor says. “We would love for you to go to Mud Creek Trail because we’re going to have it done up, but if not even on their own time wherever they feel comfortable.”

The 2020 virtual event brought in over $79,000, but Bokor says the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation is hoping to raise at least $50,000.

“Chatham-Kent always shows up for the Hospice. Even last year right in the thick of everything that was going on with the pandemic, it still turned out amazing. We’re hoping this year we can top that because we have a little element of coming together while still staying apart.”
