The final numbers are in, and this year’s Chatham Relay for Life was a resounding success. relay-1

More than 400 participants and volunteers filled the Chatham-Kent Athletic Complex and raised $81,000 for cancer research and support services.

The biggest fundraising team brought in more than $14,000 on their own, more than the next three teams combined.

This year’s total is less than the 2016 event, which brought in $86,000.

Money raised goes towards the Canadian Cancer Society.

This year marked the 15th anniversary of Relay in Chatham-Kent.
