A beloved high school teacher and coach is being remembered.
Ingrid Lahey passed away this past Sunday at the age of 73 following a lengthy battle with cancer.
A teacher at Wallaceburg District Secondary School for over two decades, Lahey played volleyball for 30 years and coached for 45, earning major championships in volleyball, basketball, and badminton.
She was also a double inductee in the Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame, honoured as a coach and a builder.
A private family service will be held to remember Lahey, followed by a Celebration of Life next spring or summer.
