Remembrance Day Vigil Planned for Wallaceburg

A 24-hour vigil is being planned for the cenotaph in Wallaceburg ahead of Remembrance Day.

Wallaceburg resident Nick Cadotte says he was inspired by a similar initiative in Chatham.

“Last year when Christ Church did the 150 hours (vigil,) I was very inspired because I have a lot of respect for veterans and everybody that has served our country,” Cadotte explains. “I’ve reached out to Christ Church to get their platform, but I’m not partnering with them. We’re doing this on our own, but they’re honoured to have another community in Chatham-Kent doing the exact same thing.”

Cadotte says he’s looking for local community groups, organizations, and businesses to take part in the 24-hour vigil, which will start at 11AM on November 10th.

Anyone interested in participating can contact Cadotte at 519-627-0007 or email ncadotte@ckxsfm.com.
