A local church is looking for volunteers to help pay tribute to Canada’s war dead.

Officials with Christ Church Chatham are organizing a vigil leading up to Remembrance Day next month.

Individuals, families, organizations, and businesses are invited to take part, standing guard at the Cenotaph in downtown Chatham for one hour.

The vigil will run from 9am to 7pm on November 10th and from 7am until 10am on the 11th.

The church hall will be open as a warming station, providing drinks and food for those taking part.
