A renewed financial commitment from a wealth management provider is helping to expand literacy education for youth in southwestern Ontario.
Canada Life is providing $120,000 to Junior Achievement South Western Ontario over the next two years to help launch a refreshed Investment Strategies program for high school students.
The program is designed to attract educators seeking modern and engaging approaches to teaching financial literacy through digital resources and personal investment plans.
βCanada Lifeβs support strengthens our ability to deliver hands-on learning experiences that help students feel confident about budgeting, credit, saving, and investing,” said Karen Gallant, president and CEO of JA South Western Ontario, in a news release. “Our financial health programs assist in setting young people up for their future, but also provide them with many tools they can put to use right away.β
Through the support from Canada Life, JA South Western Ontario will provide 60 financial learning experiences to 1,800 students each year.
