Municipal officials are aiming to provide a little more transparency when it comes to bridge work around Chatham-Kent.
An update on the construction of Chatham’s Third Street Bridge and other bridge construction projects in the municipality will come to Chatham-Kent council in an upcoming meeting.
Chatham-Kent councillor Carmen McGregor asked for a report on the bridge construction projects. She said she gets a lot of questions about the status of Wallaceburg’s bridges and it would be a good idea to get a report so people are aware of what is planned and the timelines involved.
The Third Street Bridge has been closed to all vehicles and pedestrians since May of this year and is expected to remain closed until spring of next year.
A summary of all of Chatham-Kent’s construction projects, including bridge, road and sewer work, are available on Chatham-Kent’s website and is updated every Friday.
