Residential Boom Causing Traffic Concerns

The southwest part of Chatham has experienced a huge increase in residential development in the past few years.

With that development comes some growing pains when it comes to things such as increased vehicle, pedestrian and bike traffic.

Chatham councillor Amy Finn is bringing forward a motion tonight to have administration review the current speed limits on a part of Park Avenue West, and recommend if speed limits along part of the road should be reduced or adjusted.

Currently, the speed limits along Park Avenue West vary from 60 to 70 km/hr.
