The municipality is asking residents and business owners to help out with keeping local streets clean.
High winds this week are expected to bring down more leaves, increasing the potential for street flooding.
Residents are asked to do what they can to keep streets, sidewalks, and catch basis clear: whenever possible, mow over leaves to create mulch, bring yard waste to any of the nine Leaf and Yard Depots around the municipality, or set out bagged yard waste for garbage pickup.
Sweeping or depositing leaves along the gutter or onto the roadway goes against municipality bylaws.
If you don’t feel clearing debris away from sewers is safe, contact the Public Works department.
