Retrofest 2012 is the 10th annual celebration of classic car culture in Chatham-Kent.

Retrofest has been named one of Ontario’s top 100 festivals. Grab a chair and park yourself in Downtown Chatham to watch the OLG Classic Car Cruise, as it makes it way to Downtown Chatham on Friday, May 25. Cruise is expected to arrive in Downtown Chatham at 7:30 pm. Then, after the cruise, mosey over to Tecumseh Park and enjoy a free “Movie in the Moonlight”.

Lots to see and do during the 10th celebration of Retrofest!

On Saturday, May 26, the Kent Historic Auto Club car show returns to Downtown Chatham. See cars 20 years old and much, much older. Talk with the car owners –they love to explain the restoration process. Along with the car show and after a two year hiatus, the Bill and Wayne Show returns to Downtown Chatham — magic and fun for children and adults alike. Ride the ferris wheel at the Union Gas Family Fun Zone.

See the new vintage motorcycle section as co-ordinated by Peter Derry Productions Inc, located at King and William St. At 4:00, the Kent Historic Auto Club Show awards will be presented on the Downtown Chatham Centre patio. After the awards, stroll on over to Tecumseh Park and attend “Rock’n Retrofest” featuring local bands, Superfly and Mothership with entertainment from 4:00 pm – 10:30 pm and the Chatham Kinsmen Club licensed refreshment area.

We hope to see you there!
