Mr. Richard Tiffin, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Fairfield Park, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 75 years.
Richard was born in Chatham, Ontario and was a son of the late Eldon and Eloise (O‘Flynn) Tiffin. Richard has gone to the loving arms of his soul mate, the late Victoria Tiffin. Our hearts are truly broken. Loving father and father-in-law of Jodie (Marc) James, Jaye (Doug) Shipley, Dwayne (Cheryl) Tiffin, Julie Edwards, Rebecca (Jeff) Durer-Kelly, Angelo (Sandi) Carron and adopted with love Michelle (Ross) McCreary. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Michael (Melissa) James, Tiffiny James, Thomas James, Candice (Ryan) Visser, Lori (John) Shipley-Meyers, Brian (Amanda) Shipley, Taylor (Tina) Druer, the late Bobby Tiffin-Druer and 7 great grandchildren. Kind brother and brother-in-law of Arlynn (Darrel) Phoenix, Warren Tiffin, Rick Shepley, Joe Smith, Gary Saunders, Bill (Joanne) Cleaver and Lou Ann Rogers. Predeceased by his brother Terry, his sisters Patti, Gaye, Susan and Jennifer and his sister-in-law Martha. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Richard coached Girls Lacrosse in Chatham and Wallaceburg during the 70’s, with the Wallaceburg team winning a Championship during that time. He loved the game of lacrosse and you could always find him on a Saturday or Sunday watching college football, Michigan State. He also loved the Canadian World Hockey Games. Richard’s family and all his great friends meant the world to him!
At Richards request, cremation will take place.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 1-3pm at the Wallaceburg Legion.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Wallaceburg Lacrosse Association may be left at the funeral home.
As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in Memory Richard Tiffin
