It would have been this weekend that Rick Bernard’s Ride for Hope from Wallaceburg to London was to take place.
Following his crash though, Bernard says he’s working on a new game plan.
“It will happen, I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m trying to be optimistic that everything is going to work out with the physical and therapy and everything else,” says Bernard. “So we’re looking at next summer, because the surgeon says I’ll be looking at a year of rehab.”
He’s raised $5000 so far, and with the ride being postponed until next year, he’s decided to ramp up his goal to $10,000.
He’ll be doing some fundraising at tonight’s summer concert series in downtown Wallaceburg.
