If current tonnage rates delivered to the Ridge Landfill continues, the local dump will be filled to capacity in 2021. 
That’s according to the 2018 annual report, released this week.
Last year 1,28-million tonnes of trash was delivered to the site, just a hair short of the 1.3-million limit.
An expansion of the site is planned that would allow another 20 years of capacity.
The environment assessment process underway and an information session is set for July 11th at St. Mary’s Hall in Blenheim.
