Service Clubs in Ridgetown are joining forces to bring Canada Day celebrations to the town.
On July 1st, the Ridgetown Legion, Rotary, Kiwanis, and College are hosting an event at the Ridgetown Arena.
Marion Patterson, President of Legion Branch 243, says this kind of partnership is important.
“We’re all starting to realize now it’s harder and harder for us to fund raise and be noticed,” Patterson says. “We have all these service clubs but everyone has their hands out, and it’s extremely hard right now, we keep hitting the same corporate people, we’re all doing the same fundraisers.”
A parade and fireworks are scheduled in Ridgetown on Thursday, June 29th, but the indoor celebration will be taking place on Canada Day itself.
There will be two bands, DJs, a cash bar, and food.
