Police are trying to ease the minds of parents in the Ridgetown area after a letter home from school.
The St Clair Catholic District School Board sent a letter home yesterday saying two men in a vehicle tried to start up a conversation with an elementary student.
However, it turns out to have been harmless.
According to Chatham-Kent Police, a young girl slipped on a patch of ice while waiting for the bus, and two adults in a passing vehicle stopped to ask if she was ok.
Authorities say at no time did the man or woman leave their vehicle or try to lure the girl.
