As if speeding wasn’t bad enough, a Ridgetown teen is also facing drunk driving charges.

Police clocked the 19-year-old going 181 kilometres an hour on Fairview Line Thursday afternoon.

Officers eventually caught up to the vehicle on Maynard Line near Mull Road after the driver ran into a concrete culvert.

The accused failed a roadside sobriety test and was taken to police headquarters, where he blew more than twice the legal limit.

The accused has now been charged with impaired driving, stunt driving, and being a young driver with a blood alcohol concentration above zero. He’ll appear in court to face the charges next month.
