Two of Chatham’s signature events will return this weekend as one massive celebration.
RetroFest and RibFest are joining together for the Rims and Ribs event, beginning Friday and running until Sunday.
To accommodate both festivals, “rib” events will be held in Tecumseh Park with “rims” events taking place simultaneously on the streets of downtown Chatham.
Classic and modern car enthusiasts will kick off the event on Friday with a parking lot party at the Downtown Chatham Centre from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., which will include music and entertainment.
At the same time, ribbers will be offering up their signature dishes in Tecumseh Park, accompanied by amusement park rides and vendors. Musical entertainment will also take to the park’s stage from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m.
Celebrity guests Avery Shoaf of Wild Man Restoration and Cassidy McEown of Rust Bros Restorations are also expected to be in town for the festival.
