Frigid temperatures over the last week have left the Walpole Island Ferry high and dry.
Officials announced on Sunday that due to ice on the St Clair River, the ferry will be closed until further notice.
Once the river has cleared enough to be safe, officials have to give 24 hours’ notice to Canada Customs before setting sail once again.
