Changes are coming to the roads around a Wallaceburg cemetery.

Wallaceburg’s Riverview Cemetery will receive repairs and rehabilitation to its roads in the near future, as Chatham-Kent council approved a tender in the amount of $348,529 during their online meeting on Monday night.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of October. The cemetery will be closed to the public during the construction, but there will be a coordinated effort to allow for interments to take place while the construction is scheduled.

Wallaceburg’s Elric Contractors was the winning bidder for the road construction.
